I know I know…It can be hectic when you are trying to build your makeup starter kit. Things get a little confusing especially when you are pushed to buy the branded brushes (which are very costly) by the sales people at makeup counters….
To me, any brush can do the job just fine. Why buy one brush for $24 when I can buy a whole set of 8-10 brushes for $8?
Lemme hook you up sis! I’ve been using these brushes for a few months now and child!!! They are AHH-MA-ZING. First off, they are super soft and they do not shed at all! When it comes to blending your makeup, the bristles make it easier because of how dense they are. Here’s what I use each brush for:
From left to right;
Flat dense brush – For foundation application
Round dense brush – For powder/foundation
Tapered Brush- Used to contour cheeks.
Angled Brush: Perfect for Blush and Bronzer
Small Flat Brush Brush- Stipple Concealer on Blemishes
Small Round Brush Brush- Blending Eye shadow
Small Angled Brush- Contouring Sides of the Nose
Small Tapered Brush – To highlight the inner corner of my eyes.
I hope this post was helpful to at least somebody who is trying to start out with makeup.
