Sick and tired of your makeup not lasting throughout the day? Girl you know I feel you and I got you!
Here are my 4 holy-grail primers that I use and are guaranteed to hold you down….
A primer is just a must have to lay a smooth canvas before applying your foundation. Without a primer, your foundation will barely last all day since it won’t have something to grab onto. It will end up moving and transferring on your clothes a lot especially in the summer heat.
1 have oily/combination skin with some discoloration, and so I apply all these primers at the same time for an overall flawless look. First, for an even skin tone, I apply a color correcting primer which evens out my complexion. Second, for my oily areas around T-zone, I apply a mattifying primer to instantly erase the shine. Lastly, For my huge pores around my cheek area, I apply a pore filling/blurring primer to blur out the open pores and fine lines.
Here are my holy grail primers in order of how I use them! (Click the names to shop for each)
COLOR CORRECTING PRIMER
- Green tone instantly neutralizes redness and conceals blemishes
- Lavender tone counteracts sallow undertones for a vibrant, energized look
- Peach tone brightens, illuminates and helps diminish the appearance of sun spots
For only $36, you get all those at once!
This has to be my all time fave since I’ve been using it for 3 years straight. It can be a little tricky to use but I found out that if you take a pea size and warm it up first on the back of your hand then apply it on your face, let it dry out before applying your foundation. It INSTANTLY erases any shine and makes you stay matte for a good amount of hours. Also, just like blotting sheets or how you can use powder to touch up your make up during the day, feel free to use this primer to touch up any oily areas and trust me, it will never leave you looking cakey.
The silicone texture of this primer really gets the job done! Think of your pores as holes to be filled in. To correctly use this product, pat a small amount into your pores. DO NOT SWIPE IT when applying; that will not give you the expected results.
Just as the description explains, “Think of this primer as a selfie filter for your face!” They ain’t never lied! I use this primer last to finish off before my foundation. When I tell you that it let’s no flaws peak through, then trust me girl. Works just like the benefit porefessional one but for some reason, I love using them both.
And that’s it for my holy grail primers. Remember, for your makeup to look flawless, you have to invest in good primers, just as you would for a good foundation.
