Have you ever watched makeup tutorials on youtube that make you feel so lost and confused in what products to buy so you just decide to buy everything the gurus are using with the hopes of beating your face like a guru?
If your answer was yes then I’m here to make it all simple for you. Trust me, you don’t have to own a million different products just to get the perfect look. Same applies to brushes. You shouldn’t go over your budget just to buy unnecessary brushes that are not really essential. I know how overwhelming it is; so to help you out in buying only the essential brushes, here is a simple list of my top 10 makeup brushes to own… GUARANTEED TO SAVE YOU SOME $$$
Any duo brush is always a deal that saves you some bucks. In this It cosmetics duo brush, use the spoolie end to brush your brow hairs to a nice form and to blend out the harshness from filling in brows. Use the angled brush side to clean up brows with some concealer for a defined arch.

The sigma E40 large tapered brush is used to apply a very subtle transition color between your eyebrows and the actual eyelid.
The sigma E25 brush is used for more precision on the darker color applied to your outer V of the eyelid.
The sigma E55 shading brush is perfect for applying eyeshadow pigment on the lid.
If you ever doubt how your foundation looks just use a Beauty blender and you are good to go. This baby is really great for blending out foundation, blending and setting concealer under the eyes, reducing harshness of your contour ; generally just to blend everything out. It comes in different colors as well. Just get it wet, squeeze out the excess water and bounce it on your face 🙂

Sigma f80 flat kabuki brush- makes foundation go on so smoothly and provides medium-full coverage.
Morphe M439 round top kabuki brush- provides really really full coverage using less product because the short bristles barely soak in product. Always remember that short synthetic dense brushes are great for full coverage while long bristles offer less and sheer coverage.
Sigma f60 foundation brush- This is not really a must have brush but if you are using a foundation that is sort of not your shade, use it to paint on foundation and let it stay to oxidize a little bit then use a beauty blender to blend everything out seamlessly.
Although it ‘s an eyeshadow brush, it is Perfect for applying concealer under the eye because of its duo fibers which are very soft. After applying concealer, let it sit for a few minutes then blend it out with a beauty blender for a nice full coverage.

UNDER EYE BRUSH
Its pointy tapered look is perfect for brushing off the excess setting powder under the eyes without leaving any streaks.
Morphe M459 contour brush- Although perfect for contouring, it leaves a very harsh contour so you really have to blend it out well. The good thing is, you will have control in how you want your contour to look, either harsh or faded.
Morphe E4 angled brush- With its angled shape, it’s good for applying contour in a very controlled way by being able to build it up little by little.
THE MULTI-TASKER BRUSH
I call this the multitasker brush because you can use it for your blush and also bronzer. So if you are on a restricting budget, no need of buying two separate brushes.

Use for applying highlight on the temples of your cheek. The fan shape makes it easier to apply the product on the right spot. Since it is not a necessity, you can still use the Mac129 blush brush. (The multitasker)
LARGE POWDER BRUSH
Huge enough to blend everything that looks harsh and to just apply an overall face powder for the final setting.

And that is all you need! Literally! To save money even more, it is always wise to purchase good brush sets that have all the brushes you need.
